Under a little-known Supreme Court ruling, LifeWise empowers communities to provide Bible education for their public school students DURING SCHOOL HOURS. Tens of thousands of public school students attend LifeWise Bible classes each week.

About the Job

We are seeking a gospel-centered, experienced HR leader to join the LifeWise Academy team. The Human Resources Manager will oversee and continuously improve HR functions that align with organizational goals, support leaders across departments, and strengthen LifeWise's commitment to a healthy, mission-driven workplace culture.

This full-time position is based at our headquarters in Hilliard, Ohio (just outside Columbus).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Senior Director of Human Resources to implement HR strategies, initiatives, and policies that align with organizational objectives
• Lead and manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellence across all areas of human resources
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent who share LifeWise's mission and values
• Oversee adherence to LifeWise Academy's HR policies and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
• Manage and improve HR systems, data reporting, and workflow processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience
• Support compensation planning, benefits administration, and employee engagement initiatives
• Model Christ-centered leadership and ensure all HR practices reflect LifeWise's biblical foundation and mission
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Statement of Faith
• 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (preferred)
• PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP certification (preferred)
• Experience working in a faith-based or nonprofit environment (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Comprehensive understanding of HR compliance, employment law, and best practices
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and HRIS platforms (ADP Lyric preferred)

Salary and Benefits

• From $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience
