Shipping Clerk

JBS is seeking an hourly 2nd Shift Shipping Clerk Team Member! Position starts at $22 per hour with $1/hour Shift Differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assumes responsibility for the effective and timely completion of assigned inventory and shipping functions.
   1. Inventories finished goods as scheduled.
   2. Complete all inbound, outbound documentation.
   3. Processes local shipments as received.
   4. Processes picklists into computer and processes receipts as received.
   5. Ensure that outgoing orders and shipments are complete and correct.
   6. Identifies, tracks, and resolves inventory and shipping errors, problems, or delays.
2. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that inventory and shipping functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
   1. Follows established safety and quality standards.
   2. Meet deadlines.
3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communication, coordination, and working relations with company personnel and with management.
   1. Assists and supports area personnel as needed.
   2. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns, providing suggestions for improvement.
   3. Completes records and reports accurately and timely.
   4. Attend meetings as required.
4. Assumes other duties as assigned.
   1. Ensure that the work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained.
   2. Completes special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification
• Previous experience in warehouse shipping and receiving process and documentation
• Knowledge of inventory and shipping procedures
• Excellent computer skills and ability to use and learn multiple internal systems
• Experience with inbound and outbound shipping documentation
• Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
• Work with a team and be flexible with work schedule
• Ability to speak, read, and write English

Work Environment

The work environment may include cold temperatures. It may also require the use of sharp tools such as knives.
