1. A bachelors degree with academic training or experience in a specificteaching field2. Valid certification in a specific teaching field from the Ohio Department ofEducation or evidence that one may obtained3. Is familiar with relevant aspects of students backgroundknowledge and experiences2. Articulate clear learning goals for the lesson that is appropriate forthe students3.

Demonstrates an understanding of the connections between thecontent that was learned previously, the current content and thecontent that remains to be learned in the future4. Creates or selects teaching methods, learning activities andinstructional materials or technological resources that areappropriate for the students and that are aligned with the goals ofthe lesson5. Create or select evaluation strategies that are appropriate for thestudents and that are aligned with the goals of the lesson6. Follow the approved course of study7.

Show evidence of daily lesson planning8. Has supplies, materials and equipment ready for instructionDomain B Creates an Environment for Student Learning1. Create a climate that promotes fairness2. Establish and maintain rapport with students3.

Encourage students to extend their thinking4. Monitor students understanding of content through a variety ofmeans, provide feedback to students to assist learning and adjustlearning activities as the situation demands5. Reflect on the extent to which the learning goals are met2. Demonstrate a sense of efficacy3. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues to shareteaching insights and to coordinate learning activities for students4. Maintain a record of attendance and punctuality which reflects astrong commitment to teaching6.
