Reports to : Branch Manager
Position Summary:
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager or Senior Manager; ensures branch operational activities run smoothly and efficiently; provides leadership, training, and supervision within the branch; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate personnel for new services. The position of Assistant Branch Manager performs direct supervisory duties as assigned by the Branch or other Senior Manager and may perform in various capacities, such as a branch manager, new accounts representative, teller, or safe deposit attendant as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Branch Operations: Ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations of the branch, including managing cash handling, security procedures, and other operational tasks.
Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service to customers, resolving inquiries and complaints, and promoting a positive customer experience.
Coaching and Mentoring: Coaching and mentoring staff members, helping them to develop their skills and grow within the bank.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of retail branch experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Be competent in the operations of a branch in the financial services industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with bank personnel of all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Basic Office Machine Operation Skills; printers, scanners, copiers, fax, postage machine, etc.
