Divisional Controller

This position is based at our Fort Wayne, IN office .
What You'll Own and Drive
As Divisional Controller, you'll be at the financial helm of one of our fastest-growing divisions. You'll partner with project leaders and executive stakeholders to ensure financial clarity, operational efficiency, and strategic foresight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting : Lead the monthly Work In Process (WIP) reporting process, create divisional entries, and review job projections to ensure accuracy and insight.
- Cash Flow Management : Monitor and manage cash flow to support ongoing projects and operational needs, including oversight of Accounts Receivable collections and weekly check runs.
- Internal Controls : Establish and uphold strong internal controls and financial policies that protect company assets and support compliance.
- Team Leadership : Mentor and guide the project accounting team, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and excellence.
- Collaboration : Partner with project managers and divisional leadership to ensure accurate project costing and financial transparency.
- Risk Management : Identify financial risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them-especially at the project level.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role-construction industry experience strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of financial reporting standards and internal controls.
- Advanced Excel skills for modeling and reporting; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Procore and CMiC accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
