About the Role

We are looking for an Outcomes manager to join our team and play an important role in supporting CACs mission.

In this position, you will:

  • Maximize positive outcomes for shelter animals through adoption, rescue, and return-to-home programs.
  • lead a team of Outcomes Specialists and an Outcomes Lead to reduce shelter population, improve placement processes, and ensure animals successfully transition to permanent homes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments, rescue partners, and community stakeholders, to develop and implement innovative, data-driven strategies that expand capacity and increase lifesaving impact

What Youll Be Responsible For

Your day-to-day may include:

  • Lead and oversee Cincinnati Animal CAREs Outcomes Department, driving adoption, rescue, and return-to-home programs to maximize lifesaving outcomes for dogs, cats, and other shelter animals.
  • Develop and implement strategic, data-driven initiatives that improve animal placement, reduce shelter population, and address gaps in lifesaving programs.
  • Manage daily departmental operations, ensuring efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and outstanding customer service.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, supervise, and develop Outcomes staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze performance metrics, evaluate program effectiveness, monitor trends, and provide recommendations to leadership to enhance operational success.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support coordinated placement and care strategies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to rescue organizations and community partners, strengthening relationships and expanding lifesaving capacity.
  • Ensure accurate completion of adoption and outcome processes, dog licensing, and maintain organizational standards, support inventory management, and provide timely communication regarding departmental needs, incidents, and program updates.
  • Educate and engage the public, volunteers, adopters, and partners in support of the organizations mission and best practices in animal welfare.
  • Perform additional leadership and operational duties as assigned to support the overall mission and goals of Cincinnati Animal CARE.
  • Supporting additional organizational needs as they arise

Schedule and Availability:

  • This is a 40+ hour, exempt position
  • Must have availability after-hours and on off-days for emergencies, consultation, large events, and advisement to managers and Executive Leadership Team as needed

Qualifications

Preferred/Required:

  • 3+ years of animal shelter experience preferred
  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing a variance of teams, including entry-level and management

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
