Current positions are open at both our Austintown and Newton Falls locations.

Position Summary:

The Counselor is responsible for providing direct clinical services to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Counseling & Case Management: Provide individual counseling sessions, conduct assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans that align with the clients needs and recovery goals.
• Crisis Intervention: Manage crisis situations effectively, using de-escalation techniques and professional standards to support clients.
• Referral Coordination: Refer clients to appropriate mental health resources or higher levels of care as needed, facilitating connections with community services.
• Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients with various stakeholders, including courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services to coordinate care and monitor progress.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain precise and up-to-date client records, including assessments, case notes, and treatment summaries, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with program standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree required.
• Licensing: Candidates must hold at least one of the following active licenses:LPC/LSW OR LISW-S, LPCC-S
• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in mental health and/or addiction counseling.
• Skills:
  
  • Competency in diagnosing and treating mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
