The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for Advantic Building Group while building and maintaining strong talent pipelines that support the company's continued growth. This role serves as the primary point of contact for candidates, hiring managers, educational institutions, and community partners to attract top talent across manufacturing, operations, engineering, and corporate functions.

In addition to recruiting, the Talent Acquisition Specialist maintains recruiting records and personnel files, coordinates pre-employment activities, supports onboarding documentation, and ensures a professional, consistent candidate experience that reflects Advantic Building Group's culture and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting from requisition approval through accepted offer.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, position requirements, and hiring timelines.
  • Source qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Develop and maintain recruiting partnerships with colleges, universities, technical schools, workforce development organizations, military transition programs, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate and represent Advantic at career fairs, networking events, campus recruiting activities, and hiring events.
  • Conduct resume reviews, phone screenings, and candidate assessments.
  • Schedule interviews and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Prepare offer letters and coordinate all pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug screenings, reference checks, and employment documentation to ensure a timely and compliant hiring process.
  • Serve as a culture ambassador by introducing candidates and new hires to ABG's values, mission, and employee experience throughout the recruiting and hiring process.
  • Coordinate and deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience that creates a welcoming first impression, ensures new hires are prepared for success, and fosters engagement from day one.
  • Build, maintain, and organize applicant records and employee personnel files while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting metrics and provide regular updates on hiring activity, pipeline health, time-to-fill, and recruiting effectiveness.
  • Continuously improve recruiting processes and identify new sourcing strategies to attract high-performing talent.
  • Support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, preferably supporting manufacturing, construction, engineering, or skilled trades environments.
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced organization.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for manufacturing, construction, engineering, or skilled labor positions.
  • Experience building relationships with colleges, universities, trade schools, apprenticeship programs, and workforce development organizations.
  • Experience coordinating career fairs and community recruiting events.
  • Knowledge of BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms.

Physical demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively through speaking and listening. The role typically involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move objects up to 15 pounds.
