Land Surveyor, PLS - Project Manager

Webuild ( ) is actively seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), Project Manager to take a leadership role in directing oil and gas, power, and civil / utility development - land survey projects throughout the eastern Ohio marketplace.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid background, with at least 8 years of direct experience in land surveying, focusing on land development, construction staking and grading projects. This role requires expertise in managing in-office and field surveying tasks, including the preparation project plans, budgets, timelines and detailed information for crews engaged in a range of projects on oil and gas, utility and commercial/residential environments.

The Professional Land Surveyor / Project Manager responsibilities will be comprehensive. You will oversee the preparation of critical survey documents, including boundary surveys, record plats, easements, construction stakeouts, as-builts, ALTA surveys, and topographical surveys. In addition to managing these tasks, you will be responsible for setting up and guiding field crews in the field, ensuring accurate data collection, analyzing field data, drafting survey reports, and collaborating closely with leadership to ensure that all projects meet client specifications and are completed within budget, timelines and proposal specifications.

To be successful in this role, candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Geomatics or a related field field. Must possess Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) registration in the State of Ohio. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are crucial, as you will be required to convey complex information clearly and effectively to both clients and team members. Proficiency in Civil 3D and with Trimble, Total Station equipment is also a must.
