The Position:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Shop Helper to join our growing team! The Shop Helper is a hands-on role in our shop, repairing fiberglass and mechanical equipment. This role is essential to ensuring the shop runs smoothly, and will be required to support other shop activities and tasks.

What You Will Do:

· Repair fiberglass and mechanical equipment in shop

· Perform basic carpentry, pipefitting and laminating

· Assist with organizing tools and equipment in shop

· Ensure shop and workspace is clear of any trip, slip, or fall hazards

· Support and participate in safety training programs

· Sort, label, and store items in designated locations

· Report and detail product malfunctions

· Various other shop duties as assigned

What You Bring:

· Mechanically inclined, basic electrical knowledge an asset

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines

· Good, basic math skills required: read tape measure, blueprints, calipers, fractions and decimals

· Mechanical repair, carpentry, pipefitting, and/or fiberglass laminating skills a plus

· Ability to follow detailed instructions

· Ability to follow safety, quality and production requirements and standards

· Ability to use or learn safe usage of standard hand power tools

· Demonstrate a good working attitude, enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills and the business

· Ability to work without direct supervision at times as well as within a team

· Ability to communicate and work well with others, maintain respectful, positive interactions
