Senior Maintenance Technician

Position Summary
Provide troubleshooting, repair maintenance, preventative maintenance and installation support for new and existing manufacturing equipment, and facility equipment. Provide on-line maintenance support. Apply knowledge of various trades such as electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, hydraulics and plumbing. Train other Technicians on day-to-day repair and machine operations. Able to own troubleshooting activities for critical-to-Quality and critical-to-Delivery equipment.

Duties
Provide on-line maintenance and support. Troubleshoot new-to-production or unknown issues and quickly diagnose root cause of and correct recurring issues. When possible, put corrective measures in place to prevent recurrence of failures.
2. Complete and update preventative maintenance system work orders for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual requirements, leaving equipment in better-than-found state.
3. Participate, as assigned, in the investigation of production related problems with mechanisms or processes and assist in the introduction of new or modified equipment or productions into production. Learn new technologies to better support new-to-company products/processes.
4. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, and improper conditions to supervisor. As needed, assist with facilities maintenance, furniture moving, and set up for meetings.
5. Operates lifts, tow motors, jacks, hoists, as needed.
6. Assemble or modify fixtures, tooling, or equipment according to close tolerances (+/- 0.010”) from engineering sketches.
7. When necessary, set up, operate, and adjust production equipment to process materials for the assembly of new or existing products.
8. Provide technical support for various audits using advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes (see Maintenance Skills Matrix, trained over 70%), i.e. swaging, resistance and laser welding, light-cure gluing, Autobagger setup and repair.
9. Train peers on new equipment maintenance, safety procedures, and lead problem solving meeting. Utilize documentation to communicate common issues and give guidance in the absence of production leadership.
10. Create a positive work environment and maintain a professional repour with Customers (Engineering and Production staff) through maintaining a positive attitude and open communication.
Education Degree
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
1. Ability to diagnose and repair machines.
2. Ability to perform preventative maintenance on various machines and properly document completed work in electronic tracking systems.
3. Aid Supervisors and Engineering with troubleshooting equipment issues and with problem solving sessions.
