Mold Designer

Job Description

This role involves executing mold designs in alignment with project specifications and providing regular progress updates to the Mold Design Engineering Lead.

Responsibilities Include

• Develop and refine mold designs for blow molding applications, including conducting preliminary design reviews

• Collaborate with the quality and purchasing teams to maintain compliance with quality standards and ensure timely delivery of components

• Stay current with industry practices and technical advancements by participating in training sessions and specialized courses

• Report daily progress to the Mold Design Engineering Lead to maintain transparency and alignment

• Interpret and confirm customer requirements, resolve outstanding issues, and validate that all specifications are met

• Identify potential risks, document and prioritize them, implement mitigation strategies, and communicate updates effectively

• Create and manage timing plans to ensure successful execution of assigned orders and projects

Skills & Qualifications

• Mold design experience with at least 2+ years in the field

• Must be proficient in Solidworks

• Ability to conduct design reviews.

• Knowledge in plastic molding and engineering, particularly blow molding

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Fremont, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
