Job Summary:Ridge Corporation is a solutions driven manufacturing company that brings concepts to life through the application of composites and advanced materials. We are seeking a hands-on, results-oriented Plant Supervisor to be the driving force behind our shift operations. This role serves as a player-coach who both leads from the floor and will actively work within the manufacturing process. The Plant Supervisor will be instrumental in making a tangible impact on our quality, efficiency, and company culture.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
Leadership & Team Development
· Mentor and Coach: Serve as a direct role model and coach to our junior leaders and production line team members, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence.
· Lead Daily Planning: Direct and facilitate daily shift-start planning meetings to align the team on production goals, safety priorities, and operational standards.
· Uphold Safety & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety by strictly enforcing company and OSHA safety standards, ensuring all equipment is functioning safely, and promptly addressing and reporting any malfunctions.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Drive Efficiency: Apply strategic and proactive methodologies to ensure efficient execution of production plans and optimal output.
- Sustain Improvement Initiatives: Actively lead and sustain Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing efforts on the floor to eliminate waste and boost productivity.
- Performance Analysis: Collect, control, and accurately distribute essential production reports and performance metrics to inform real-time decision-making.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Quickly and effectively troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to maximize production flow and minimize costly downtime.
- Optimize Resources: Proactively control and minimize operational costs , including overtime labor, maintenance/repair expenses, product re-work, and equipment downtime.
- Ensure Quality: Utilize hands-on experience with industrial quality systems to maintain the highest level of product quality compliance.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Ergonomic Requirements:
- Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time
- Ability to Push, Pull, Lift, and/or Carry up to 75 lbs.
