Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• No current placement allowed at Program: Qualivis Program - Akron Children's Hospital.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:Peds or adult experience.Servo vents - must have experience using.

Preferred Skills/Experience:Level 3 and 4 NICU experience preferred.

Special Requests:All RTO to be discussed during interview and must be included at time of submission.

Unit Details:Neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.Patient population includes prematurity, birth anomalies, infectious respiratory diseases, trauma, surgical cases, cystic fibrosis, technology-dependent patients, and neuromuscular disease.

Shift & Scheduling:Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements:Float to our other facilities as needed including Beeghly and Summa.PICU pairs with ICU Step Down, ED / NICU pairs with L&D offsite NICU.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
