Job Summary

As the Executive Sous Chef, you will support the overall success of the culinary program by overseeing food preparation, kitchen operations, and staff development. You’ll assist with planning, ordering, inventory management, and production while ensuring all culinary activities align with client standards, health department regulations, and company expectations for quality, freshness, and presentation. This role also plays a key part in leading, training, and motivating the back-of-house team to consistently deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.

• Assist in menu planning and development.

• Lead the implementation of new culinary programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams.

• Monitor and manage food and labor costs to ensure budget compliance.

• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and food quality standards.

• Provide leadership, training, and development to kitchen staff.

• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a management role.

• Background in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or healthcare.

• Strong knowledge of culinary trends, food safety, cost control, and presentation standards.

• Proficient in preparing production sheets and managing kitchen logistics.

• Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.

• ServSafe or Department of Health certification preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

• Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
