Registered Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel RN Contract)
• Location: Columbus, OH 43203 (Ohio healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Tower 8 – Medical-Surgical/Urology/Nephrology
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/08/2025 – End: 12/08/2025)
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:30), 36 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $1,990 per week
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Setting: On-site, acute care hospital
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state license required)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficient in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate care procedures
• EPIC charting experience required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float to various units within the hospital as needed
• Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with nephrology, urology (surgical and non-surgical), benign hematology, and general medical-surgical diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond promptly to patient condition changes
• Initiate and manage IVs, administer medications, and perform intermediate care procedures
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Float to other nursing units within the hospital as required
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality care standards
• Participate in orientation and ongoing professional training
