Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry Level Architectural Designer .
This position is located in the Columbus, Ohio office, which is a dynamic studio focusing on a large variety of project types, including higher education, cities, corporate commercial, logistical and federal projects. We are seeking a Designer with good technical, conceptual, visual, and communication skills to work in a highly collaborative and design-oriented studio.
Job Summary/Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in high-energy, collaborative team and project environments
- Provide design and documentation support on projects of various sizes, type and complexity
- Produce rapid visualization of design concepts and assist with building presentations to clients
- Developing iterative solutions for a variety of design working under supervision by senior design staff
- Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations
- Coordinates design activities with other engineering disciplines
- Participate in design through all phases, from concept to construction administration.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS in Architecture + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's in architecture
- Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling; Revit, Sketchup, and/or Rhino desired
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Desire to actively work toward architectural licensure
- LEED Accreditation
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
