Looking for experienced GM Certified technicians (Hiring Bonus Available)
Job Summary: Serpentini Chevrolet of Willoughby Hills is currently seeking highly motivated individuals with a passion for the automotive industry to join our team as a Technician/ Skilled Labor/Contractor. As a Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles, use state-of-the-art tools and equipment, and receive ongoing training to develop and enhance your skills. GM experience is required, so if you have a strong mechanical background and a desire to learn, we encourage you to apply! Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to over $100,000+ per year based on experience and skill level. In addition to the base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues on various makes and models of vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance and service tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Use diagnostic equipment and resources to accurately troubleshoot and fix problems
- Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain repair recommendations and provide cost estimates
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in the service department
- Complete all vehicle repairs and services efficiently and accurately, while maintaining quality workmanship
- Keep a clean and organized work area
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and trends
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required
- Previous experience as an automotive technician or a strong mechanical background
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have own tools
- ASE certifications are a plus, but not required
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
