Job Title: IT / Installation Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Type: Field Position – Same-Day Travel Required
Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

The IT / Installation Assistant is responsible for supporting installation, service, and troubleshooting activities related to IT infrastructure, access control systems, and internal networks. This role works closely with the IT Director, IT Manager, and Installation/Service Technicians to complete projects efficiently and maintain strong customer relationships. This is a field-based position requiring same-day travel and occasional after-hours emergency response.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform installations and service on server configurations, computer programming, and access control panels as needed.
• Conduct phone, internet, and network troubleshooting tasks.
• Assist Installation and Service Technicians with installations and service calls on an as-needed basis.
• Support the IT Director and IT Manager with assigned projects, installations, and service requests.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving internal network issues.
• Respond to after-hours emergency service calls when required.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with existing customers to help cultivate additional sales opportunities.
• Provide training and guidance to new hires as needed.
• Maintain continual professional growth through ongoing training to stay current with industry trends, equipment, software, and programs.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Basic knowledge of networking, server configuration, and access control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel locally on a same-day basis.
• Ability to respond to occasional after-hours calls.

Schedule

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
