• Float: Required to float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed

Job Requirements (Registered Nurse / Travel RN)

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience (recent experience required; at least 1 year current specialty experience for clinical pass)
• License: Active RN license (compact or Ohio RN license in hand at submission)
• Certifications: BCLS / BCLS (AHA) as applicable
• EMR/Charting: Epic experience required
• Telemetry Skills: Telemetry monitoring; dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Clinical Skills (required): IV starts; central line/PICC management; blood product administration; arterial line management; ABG interpretation; port access; HFNC; assist with chest tube insertion/removal (as needed)
• Preferred: Oncology experience (preferred, not required); prior travel nursing experience
• References: Two professional references (at least one from a manager/director or formal leader)

Responsibilities (Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Nights)

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for Med/Surg Oncology/Telemetry patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, including patients receiving chemotherapy-related observation
• Interpret telemetry rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and escalate changes in patient condition promptly using established protocols
• Administer medications and blood products per policy; manage IV therapy, infusion pumps, and related devices
• Perform and maintain central line/PICC care, port access, and arterial line monitoring as indicated
• Support symptom management, comorbidity management, and patient/family education throughout the plan of care
• Maintain strong infection prevention and fall prevention practices for an adult/geriatric population
• Document accurately in Epic and collaborate with interdisciplinary partners
• Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed to support staffing and patient care priorities
