POSITION SUMMARY:
Looking for a wine enthusiast individual to join us as the Wine Sales Associate. This individual will promote the AWS brand by delivering the best-in-class service and bringing to life a distinctive world of wine, beer, & spirits for our customers, thus, expanding our customer base and maximize profitability.
You’ll be responsible for assisting customers, managing inventory, building merchandising displays, ringing up sales, and ensuring inventory is available.
Position responsibilities include:
· Ensure customer needs are met, provide knowledgeable recommendations
· Oversee special orders; ensure they are filled and picked-up
· Ensure all pricing is correct on displays
· Build and merchandise displays, fill shelves and cold boxes, rotate vintages
· Establish and maintain rapport with customers and other store personnel
· Effectively work with minimal supervision
REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous sales experience preferred, but not required
• Candidate must: be at least 21 years of age • Must possess a current drivers license; maintain current auto insurance coverage and a clean driving record
• Able to repetitively lift a minimum of 35 lbs; be able to bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist.
• Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and listening skills are required
• This position requires the availability to work flexible hours and weekends.
• Must be self-motivated, willing to work hard, and strive to learn more. Must have a passion and excitement for wine and maintain a high level of integrity.
