Job Overview:
In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering. You will review and analyze multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Additionally, you will contribute to resolving complex situations requiring a solid understanding of functional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables. Collaboration and consultation with client personnel will be a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering.
• Analyze and resolve multi-faceted challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
• Collaborate strategically with client personnel to meet deliverables.
• Participate in hands-on development as a full member of the team, dedicated to modernization efforts.
• Support the migration of mainframe systems to the cloud, focusing on backend development.
• Work with SQL databases to process and manage large-scale data operations.
• Contribute to the consolidation of 27 applications into 4 over a multi-year modernization project.
• Potentially participate in weekend support rotations in the future.

Qualifications:

• 9 years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
• 9 years of Java development experience.
• 6 years of experience with Spring Boot.
• 3 years of cloud experience (Azure preferred, but any cloud is acceptable).
• Database experience, particularly with SQL.
• Experience with Kafka, JMS, and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Ability to complete and pass a HackerRank or Glider assessment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.

Pay Range: $60 - $70
