The Alarm Dispatcher is responsible for monitoring, responding to, and following up on alarm and signal activity. This role ensures accurate dispatching, clear and professional communication with customers and emergency responders, and timely updates to customer accounts in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Accurately verify, respond to, and dispatch alarm signals in a timely manner.

· Notify customers of non-emergency signals and provide appropriate guidance.

· Notify emergency responders after dispatch in accordance with established SOPs.

· Process and update customer account data changes as directed.

· Answer, handle, and route incoming calls professionally and efficiently.

· Maintain current knowledge of all signal types and corresponding SOPs.

· Stay informed on organizational goals, departmental objectives, and updates.

· Comply with all company and central station policies, procedures, and standards.

· Consistently meet or exceed minimum departmental quality standards.

· Perform administrative and support tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

· Ability to multi-task effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

· Adaptability, reliability, and strong attention to detail.

· Ability to exercise independent judgment and sound problem-solving techniques.

· Collaborative, cooperative, and positive team-oriented attitude.

· Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

· Standard office environment with moderate noise levels.

· Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts; overtime may be required.

· Prolonged sitting and extended use of a computer/monitor.

· Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
