Trucking Dispatcher

The Local AM Dispatcher role in Columbus, OH, is a key part of our operations team, responsible for coordinating daily transportation activities, supporting drivers, and delivering excellent customer service. JOB DETAILS: FULL TIME, MON - FRI, 0600 START TIME, PAID WEEKLY. MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION/LIFE/401K AFTER 90 DAYS. PTO AVAILABLEResponsibilities
- Dispatch drivers for local PUD's
- Coordinate Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) linehaul operations
- Communicate and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth logistics
- Handle customer service phone calls and respond to customer inquiries via email
- Process shipment paperwork and perform accurate data entry
- Maintain thorough follow-up on all dispatch and customer service activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of experience in transportation or freight dispatch preferred
- Experience in transportation management preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Excellent organizational skills and dependability
- Professional and pleasant phone presence
- Strong customer service skills preferred
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
Compensation
Salary is negotiable and based on industry experience.
