IT Support Technician

- Provide first-line support to end users via phone, email, chat or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolves issues with Windows and Linux workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Support peripherals (printers, monitors, docking stations, etc.)
- Install, configure and update software applications
- Perform routine maintenance (system updates, password resets, account provisioning).
- Assist with new hire onboarding (system setup, accounts, equipment).
- Support conference room and remote meeting technology.
- Track and document issues in the IT ticketing system.
- Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff as needed.
- Assist with hardware inventory and asset management.
- Help maintain basic network connectivity.
- Contribute to IT documentation (how-to guides, knowledge base articles, training material).
- Cybersecurity & Compliance Support
- Assist with vulnerability scanning, patching, and system hardening.
- Support log management and monitoring activities under supervision.
- Help maintain compliance with CMMC, NIST 800-171, and other frameworks.
- Contribute to documentation (policies, procedures, user training guides).
- Participate in security awareness training and help deliver content to staff.
- Assist with incident response preparation (playbooks, contact lists, escalation).
- Support annual or periodic internal audits and compliance checks.
- Associate"s or Bachelor"s degree in IT-related field.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT and cybersecurity.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networks.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and document work clearly.
- 1-3 years of related experience.
- Experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Exposure to cybersecurity concepts (firewalls, antivirus, phishing awareness).
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network +, Security + are a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Team-oriented with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
