Overview
Registered Nurse – CCU (Critical Care / Medical Step-Down) in Cleveland, Ohio. Start date: 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,992 to $2,177 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 3x12 rotating, with two 12-hour shift options: days 7am–7pm or nights 7pm–7am. Work setting: hospital-based medical step-down unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients in a medical step-down unit, including monitoring and responding to clinical changes
- Administer medications and IV therapies, titrate infusions as ordered, and document responses
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments, manage airway, hemodynamics, and other critical needs within scope of practice
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans; communicate changes to physicians and family members as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record; ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols
- Support discharge planning and patient education as part of ongoing care and transition of care

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of critical care or step-down experience
- Ability to work in a medical step-down setting and to perform 12-hour shifts; rotating schedule as needed
- Preferred: BSN or Magnet-recognized certification; 2 years of CCU/step-down experience
