Position Summary
As a Staff Accountant, you’ll support the day-to-day accounting functions of the business, including journal entries, account reconciliations, billing, financial reporting, and analysis. You’ll work closely with senior accountants and the accounting manager to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial operations. This role provides a rare opportunity to gain visibility to the full array of financial statements and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger
- Reconcile bank statements and key balance sheet accounts
- Support invoicing and accounts receivable tracking
- Process accounts payable and monitor vendor payments
- Help compile data for financial reports and audits
- Analyze financial performance to identify operational risks and opportunities.
- Assist with maintaining documentation for accounting procedures
- Identify and recommend process improvements
Preferred Traits
- Familiarity with transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry (a plus)

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships count!)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
