Small Parts Assembly

2nd shift - $18.25/hour

ENTRY LEVEL / ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

Full-time in Mentor, Ohio

Responsible for performing assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment.Performs assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment.

Duties

• Assemble components to include gluing, weaving, packaging, coiling, welding using various hand tools and bench top pneumatic presses
• Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions
• Promote and support a safe working environment
• Inform team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment, or processes
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
• Supports and promotes LEAN operations by following standard work to include Safety Observations, Idea Generation and Hour by Hour Board updates
• Duties and responsibilities contained in this job description may change at any time
• Standing/Walking expectation up to 70% - 100% daily

Education Degree

• High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Experience

• Creative Arts/Crafty Capabilities (arts, weaving, musical instruments, nail painting) background helpful

Skills

• Ability to read, understand and communicate oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations.Ability to identify, communicate and trouble shoot problems.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other employees.
• Will be required to enter data at a computer terminal.
• Basic counting and arithmetic skills required.
