Systems Developer

A&P Technology is the world’s largest producer of braided materials for the composites industry. A&P’s production braids are used in a variety of applications ranging from hockey sticks and prosthetics to jet engine fan cases and bridge arches. Some recognizable applications using A&P braid include the frames of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner, composite fan cases for GE engines, and air beams for the U.S. Military.

The staff at A&P is very diverse. Engineers, machinists, salespeople, and machine operators all work together to create innovative solutions for the composites industry. Due to our success, we are seeking a motivated and determined Systems Programmer to join our team. This person would perform a variety of tasks relating to the processing, storage, and trafficking of data throughout the company. One must be able to plan and accomplish goals using his/her experience and judgment. This is a full-time salaried position with compensation dependent on skill set.

Responsibilities include :
  • Providing programming support to team members and consultation on complex projects
  • Reviewing, analyzing and modifying programming systems
  • Gathering and analyzing user requirements from all departments and levels of management
  • Programming and maintenance of new and existing applications
  • Software design including architecture, user interface, database design
  • Ability to adapt to the current environment or learn new programing languages and technologies involving AI and data science.
Requirements :
  • Extensive experience with ASP.net (prefer 5+ years)
  • Extensive experience with C# (prefer 5+ years)
  • Extensive experience with MS SQL development (prefer 5+ years)

Preferred skills:
  • Experienced in Microsoft Access development
  • Experienced in MS SQL server administration
  • VB.Net programming experience
  • Working knowledge of Team Foundation and Azure DevOps Server
  • Experience working with solutions geared towards the manufacturing industry
  • Familiar with Microsoft Business Central
  • BS in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Creative problem solver
