You'll be in charge of creating a sales and marketing strategy that includes soliciting new and existing accounts in order to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. • Supports the director of sales and marketing in preparing the department budget as well as the hotel's overall sales goals and strategy
• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community
• Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads
• Conduct yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhere to the guidelines of the budget and marketing plan
• Create and maintain connections with key group and catering accounts in order to keep and expand our market share

• Exhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
• Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry
• 3 or more years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality
• Stays organized and manage time well
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired
