Job Overview
Neapolitan-Style Pizza Maker
We are seeking a passionate individual interested in learning the craft of making Neapolitan-style pizzas. If you already know how that's even better! You will also be part of the kitchen tip pooling in addition to this hourly wage.
Responsibilities:
- Create pizzas to order, ensuring consistency and quality
- Operate and maintain gas-fired pizza ovens
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good attitude and work ethic
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience making Neapolitan-style pizzas
- Knowledge in dough preparation and fermentation techniques
- Knowledge of gas-fired pizza oven operation, dome temps, and floor temp. Our pizzas cook at 950 degrees for about a minute and a half
- Understanding of Neapolitan-style pizza ingredients and toppings
- Experience with various pizza styles beyond traditional Neapolitan
- Experience in a high-volume pizzeria or Italian restaurant
- Creativity in developing new pizza recipes while maintaining Neapolitan-style characteristics
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Heat tolerance for working near hot ovens
- Knife Skills
