Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled infrastructure professional with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Intune, who thrives in a client-facing, solutions-driven environment. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable infrastructure solutions while ensuring the stability, performance, and integrity of client systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ Years of experience in a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on cloud technologies
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure: Entra ID, Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking
- Strong experience with Microsoft Intune for device and application management
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core infrastructure services
- Microsoft Azure Certifications (preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a client-focused, service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, security, and continuous improvement.
Description and Responsibilities
Architecture, Design & Implementation
- Design, implement, and manage complex on-premises and cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Lead architecture, deployment, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft Azure environments.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).
- Provide technical leadership on infrastructure standards, best practices, and solution design.
Systems Administration & Operations
- Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, and core infrastructure services.
- Ensure reliability, performance, availability, and security across server and cloud environments.
- Proactively monitor system health and performance, recommending improvements and optimizations.
Advanced Technical Support
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and incidents.
- Collaborate closely with service desk and engineering teams to resolve high-impact client issues.
- Participate in root cause analysis and preventative planning.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Utilize tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, and related automation frameworks.
Documentation & Mentorship
- Create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
