The new Advanced Manufacturing Hub in Hamilton, OH is hiring 3–5 undergraduate students for 100% on-site, hands-on roles assisting with equipment deployment, research, & laboratory operations across various technical disciplines. AM Hub is a 70,000 square foot facility consisting of 11 labs with room to grow. The results-oriented role requires a minimum of 6 hours onsite per week, a strong commitment to understanding lab-specific safety procedures, & reminding lab occupants (students, visitors, partners, etc.) of safety procedures. Duration is semester-based with the potential for extension.Preferred candidates are teachable, familiar with machining, have a passing grade in MME 231, and/or have reliable transportation to & from 101 Knightsbridge Dr, Hamilton, OH 45011.
Job Description
Essential Duties
- Software: Computer-Aided Drafting, Computer-Aided Manufacturing, Inventory lab equipment.
- Provide support for divisional/departmental services.
- Provide supervisory functions including, but not limited to, scheduling, determining training needs, preparing training materials, and conducting training sessions.
- Work is done independently of supervision.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrate evidence of advanced technical skills, training, professional management, & mentoring.
- Work performed is highly complex and requires extensive training (either coursework or in-house departmental training).
Minimal qualifications:
Minimal knowledge required, as there will be training.
