Senior Corporate Tax Accountant | Public Accounting | Hybrid | $175,000 to $225,000 + Bonus

Our client is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join their corporate tax practice. This individual will work across business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting projects, managing client engagements and serving as a trusted advisor to corporate clients across industries. This role offers a clear path toward Partner or Managing Director, with the resources, technology, and team support to help you excel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise multiple client engagement teams, overseeing planning, execution, and completion of complex tax projects
• Provide strategic tax planning, consulting, and compliance guidance to clients in a range of industries
• Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related matters
• Oversee ASC 740 income tax provision engagements and corporate compliance reviews
• Develop, train, and mentor team members while providing performance feedback and coaching
• Identify new business opportunities, assist in proposal development, and contribute to firm growth initiatives
• Conduct research on complex tax matters and collaborate with specialists, including the firm’s Washington National Tax Office
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and client service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation, JD, or LLM in Taxation preferred
• CPA or active law license required
• 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate income tax compliance, consulting, and ASC 740 accounting
• Strong technical understanding of US GAAP and corporate tax laws and regulations
• Experience with state/local tax compliance, international taxation, and transfer pricing a plus
• Proficiency with OneSource Tax Provision preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills
