Payroll Specialist
About Us
Tridec Technologies, LLC is a veteran-owned small business with over 15 years of experience supporting NOAA's Office for Coastal Management, providing contract support and managing the Coastal Management and Digital Coast Fellowship Programs.
Job Duties
- Process biweekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Review and verify employee timekeeping, hours, deductions, and payroll data.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and employee records.
- Calculate wages, deductions, taxes, benefits, and other payroll adjustments.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2s and other required payroll reporting.
- Reconcile payroll reports and identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Process payroll corrections, adjustments, and off-cycle payments as needed.
- Respond professionally to employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, and pay statements.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Qualification
- 2+ years of payroll processing or payroll administration experience
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
- Experience handling confidential employee and payroll information
- Experience reconciling payroll reports and resolving discrepancies
- Payroll certification such as FPC or CPP
