Golf Business Manager (Vacancy)
Definition Under direction, is responsible for the management of all business affairs in a section, division, or department; performs related duties as required. Examples of Work
(Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all of the duties that may be performed.) Prepares and oversees the operating budget and revenue stream for an assigned section; prepares revenue projections for revenue and enterprise funds on a quarterly and annual basis; Develops spreadsheets and accounting system for budget monitoring and reporting purposes; conducts rate or fee schedule studies and makes recommendations as necessary; Establishes goals and objectives for an assigned section; develops internal operating policies and procedures for assigned section; evaluates and modifies operational procedures to maintain a high level of customer service and as a means to improve operational efficiency; Solicits and develops new customers and/or accounts; ensures customer satisfaction and that needs of customers are being met; Coordinates, develops, and updates a marketing and business plan; monitors compliance to performance standards and measures established in business plan; Prepares and/or reviews a variety of reports and communications pertinent to the business of the assigned section; Supervises assigned staff to include evaluating and signing performance appraisals, approving leave requests, and recommending disciplinary actions; Oversees the completion and accuracy of all deposits of monies; Serves as a liaison between the department/division/agency and other City agencies relating to business/enterprise activities; Keeps the Director and Division Administrator informed in a timely manner of all situations that could affect the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives; May be expected to lead and/or manage special projects, trainings, or events. Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a bachelor's degree AND three (3) years of professional industry related experience or professional accounting, finance, marketing, or budgeting experience. Substitution(s): A master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. Test/Job Contact Information
