Shipping/Mail Team Associate - Full Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping/Mail Team Associate to support daily logistics operations at our medium-sized print facility. This entry-level role is responsible for receiving, handling, staging, and shipping incoming and outgoing materials. The ideal candidate is organized, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with established shipping deadlines. Job Summary: Assists mailroom staff and customers. Maintains the mailroom by keeping the environment clean, organized, and stocked. Duties/Responsibilities :- Assists with incoming and outgoing mail service
- Sorts, logs, and distributes mail and packages
- Processes outbound mail, assists customers with mail services, completes proper documents for all mail services, explains services, and suggests appropriate services to meet customers’ requirements
- Assists with mail/package deliveries across campus as needed
- Resupplies components on the mail meter and related equipment as necessary
- Forwards and returns mail to sender as appropriate
- Maintains a clean and organized working environment
- Dusts and cleans surfaces, floors, and machinery throughout the mailroom, restocks, and organizes supplies
- Assists with counter sales; Assists with the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly mailroom supply inventory and statistical tracking
- Using a computer or other designated equipment, enter and assist with the processing of orders
- Ability to sort incoming and outgoing mail as directed
- Ability to effectively communicate to assist employees and students
- Ability to deal with stressful situations and different types of personalities in a calm manner
- Ability to concentrate while doing many tasks at once
- Ability to learn department account numbers and locations of mailboxes
- Ability to use the telephone to assist customers and report malfunctions
- Ability to learn basic operations of folding equipment, binding equipment, laminating equipment, mailing equipment and software, phone systems, Windows-based Computers, and other software programs as necessary
- Ability to explain the services provided by the mailroom
- Ability to complete assigned jobs; Ability to take direction from supervisors
- Ability to lift and carry mail tubs, mail flats, and packages
- Must obtain a valid Ohio driver’s license
- Consistent daytime schedule with weekends off

Additional responsibilities include:- Produce printed materials including digital prints, large-format jobs, and finishing work (cutting, binding, laminating, folding, etc.)
- Operate and maintain print and finishing equipment according to procedures
- Prepare digital files for print, ensuring proper formatting and quality standards
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and client specifications
- Package, stage, and deliver completed jobs as required
- Maintain an organized production area and adhere to safety standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job status and deadlines
- High school diploma or GED and legal US authorization to work for any employer
- Competency in performing multiple functional tasks; capable of lifting up to 55 pounds
- MS Office Suite skills; Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
