Architectural Project Manager
Job Description:
Full-time Architectural Project Manager position with a full-service architectural firm located in downtown Canton, serving Northeast Ohio for over 100 years. Our firm has extensive experience in the design and engineering of educational facilities, public facilities, municipal centers, community centers, technical facilities, non-profit and community agencies, medical and dental clinics, stadiums, recreational and athletic centers, industrial/warehouses, and administrative spaces, as well as master planning of projects, site development, and public spaces.
Duties/Responsibilities:
As an Architectural Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing architectural projects from conception to completion. Your duties will include:
- Collaborating with clients to understand their project requirements and goals
- Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Leading a team of architects, designers, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle
- Reviewing and approving architectural designs and plans
- Preparation of architectural drawings and design presentations
- Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Managing project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders
- Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of work
- Communicating regularly with clients and contractors to provide updates on project status
- Resolving any issues or conflicts that arise during the project
Required Skills/Abilities:
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software for creating detailed architectural drawings
- Knowledge of interior design principles and ability to incorporate them into architectural projects
- Ability to effectively manage project budgets, including estimating costs and tracking expenses
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
- Outstanding analytical and critical thinking ability
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and consultants
Education and Experience:
- Professional Degree in Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience
Schedule/Work Environment:
- 8am - 5pm Monday-Friday
- Business casual dress code
- Free on-site parking
- Exposure to construction sites/activities
