Location: Cincinnati, OH 45227, United States
Shift: Day Shift (06:45 AM – 04:00 PM)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (4x9+ hours)
Employment Type: Contract
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dependable Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient daily clinic operations, including patient intake, documentation, and in-clinic procedural assistance.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Support & Patient Care
- Record patient vital signs, medical histories, and medication updates
- Assist physicians during examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, vaccinations, and phlebotomy
- Support wound care, suture removal, splinting, and minor procedures
Patient Flow & Coordination
- Ensure smooth patient flow throughout clinic hours
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems
- Assist with patient intake, scheduling, and follow-ups
- Coordinate prescription refills and prior authorizations
Administrative Duties
- Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records
- Handle phone calls, scheduling, and front-office coordination
- Maintain organized, complete, and up-to-date patient files
Clinical Environment & Compliance
- Prepare and sanitize exam rooms and clinical equipment
- Follow OSHA standards and infection control protocols
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and safety compliance
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Strong computer proficiency (EMR systems, Outlook, Excel)
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- 2–5 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Experience in primary care or specialty clinical settings
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Hands-on skills in phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and clinical assistance
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Medical Assistant Program Completion (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- CMA/RMA Certification (Preferred)
