Supplier Quality Management Specialist
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that all supplied components and materials meet quality standards and specifications required for production. This role serves as the primary liaison between the plant and suppliers, focusing on quality assurance and problem resolution. The SQE works closely with internal teams such as Manufacturing, Engineering, and Corporate Supplier Quality to maintain supplier performance and drive corrective actions when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Support determining the data driven top customer field issues list, verify an owner is assigned and status is reported weekly.

Participate in cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions through problem solving process.

Evaluate completed corrective actions and ensure effectiveness of actions.

Recommend appropriate remedial activities.

Present reports to organization regarding Supplier Quality performance.

Communicate internally and externally on outcomes of investigations.

Work with Engineering, Services, Manufacturing/Operations, Management, and Corporate Supplier Quality to resolve quality issues impacting customers.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.

5 to 7 years of experience within a Quality role.

Proficient in Microsoft suites.

Supplier auditing and PPAP experience

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred)

Certified Quality Engineer (preferred)

Certified Quality Auditor (preferred)
