Electrician

A typical day for an Electrician may include:
- Coordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgradesâ¯
- Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls and drivesâ¯
- Actively research potential upgrades in automation and fine-tune existing plant to improve safety, efficiencies, plant capacities, consistency, availability and reportingâ¯
- Work closely with engineering groups to meet deadlines and complete capital projectsâ¯
- Other duties as assignedâ¯
Qualifications:
- Have a 2-year technical degree in Electrical or have comparable work experience
- Worked on industrial sites or similar industries for at least 2 years or more
- Have experience with PLCâs (this is preferred but not required) â¯
- Have strong attention to detail, a high sense of urgency as well as safety acumen
- Possess a valid driverâs license and the ability to operate a company vehicle onsite
- Can pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen   Physical Demands:Â
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
