Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role within our manufacturing plant and supports our production team to drive production while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
- Repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment
- Conducting inspections to identify and resolve issues
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Painting, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks as needed
- Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- - Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
- - Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
- Manage all maintenance vendors and ensure all work is validated, negotiated and supports company initiatives
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives by working with the production team.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain and complete all required documentation following OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements (e.g., logs, records, checklist, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, administration or facility management
- Minimum experience of 3 years with a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, facility maintenance with previous supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
- Effective communication and people management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Ensure all maintenance procedures adhere to OSHA and company safety standards, conducting regular inspections to identify hazards.
Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair
Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition
- Maintain processing and packaging equipment and systems, decreasing unplanned downtime and growing reliability and availability.
