Landscape Project Manager

We are Landscape Architects with a great facility and 2 acres of beautiful gardens that will make you want to come to work every day! M.J.’s passion for plants, the landscape industry and attention to detail can be seen in all facets of the company from the grounds, to the cleanliness of our trucks and equipment, to the organization of our shop. The owners are hands on, and more often than not, will be working side by side with you in the field. 

M.J. Design is currently in search of a Landscape Project Manager to join our team. The right person will have strong leadership skills, experience in the Landscape Industry, knowledge of horticulture and excellent attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Working with our Landscape Designers and Operations Manager you will assist with different facets of the landscape process. You will actively participate in team development through the M.J. training program.

· Execute the on-site contractual agreements for assigned projects in a manner that follows out quality, efficiency, and safety standards.

· Responsible to maintain profitability while upholding standards and maintaining employee morale. 

· Develop a clear understanding of projects by reading a plan and material take-off. Fulfill expectations by planning, monitoring progress, adapting as needed and communicating needs with team members, clients, and vendors to keep project schedules.

· Provide outstanding customer service and represent M.J. Design in a professional manner.

- Must work side by side with Landscape crews on projects. Some field work, some office work.

· Heavy plant knowledge, along with some Hardscape and Maintenance.

Qualifications and Skills:

· MUST BE ABLE TO MANAGE MUTIPLE JOBS.

· A 2- or 4-year degree in Horticulture, landscape or construction related discipline is preferred but not required.

· 3 years of team leader/foreman/crew leader experience are required without degree

· Must have valid OH drivers license with clean record & have experience in operation of truck & trailer

· Possess strong customer services skills

· A passion for plants and love working outdoors.

· Strong Communication skills and the ability to speak some Spanish plus, learning Spanish a must.

· Energetic and motivated to be a leader

Competitive Pay: $50,000 – 70,000/year Experience dictates final salary.
