ER Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 07:00-19:00, Night: 19:30-07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,720–$1,770
• Healthcare Setting: Immediate Care Center (ICC) and Emergency Department (ED)

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license—Ohio or compact state (required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room (ER) nursing experience
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) charting
• Ability to float between Immediate Care Center and Emergency Department as needed
• Two professional references (at least one from a nurse manager, director, or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions considered)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients in both the Immediate Care Center and Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with urgent and non-urgent conditions, including sickle cell crisis, fever, abdominal pain, anemia, and dehydration
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage central lines
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs, ABGs, and dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including advanced practice providers (APPs), physicians, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and social services
• Provide patient education and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EHR
• Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
