Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, IV Certification, ACLS required. Must-Have: Must be able to pass the telemetry test. Some experience in monitoring telemetry patients is required. Epic experience is required. Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a surgical progressive care unit. The role requires general nursing skills such as IV starts, monitoring, lab work, medication administration, and patient education. Experience in telemetry monitoring is essential. Candidates should be skilled in blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, and wound care. Knowledge of interpretation of dysrhythmias and isolation precautions is needed. Nurses will manage patients recovering from various surgical procedures, including bariatric and colorectal surgeries. This unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Nurses may be required to float to other areas if needed.
