We are recruiting assistant teachers with a passion for kids who can help to promote the social, cognitive, and emotional development of the children entrusted into our care. We are seeking out individuals with a heart for learning and those who are ready and motivated to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children and their families.

Essential Job Responsibilities

· Must be optimistic, team-oriented and dedicated to the well-being of our children and daily center operations.

· Assist w/ implementing the daily lesson plan and curriculum in a way that meets each child’s unique learning style.

· Effectively communicate w/ children, their parents and other co-workers assist w/ Maintaining control of the classroom through effective transitioning and setting boundaries.

· Use positive child guidance strategies to instruct children.

· Assist in keeping the environment safe, clean, and organized.

· Comply w/ ODJFS licensing regulations and Treehouse Learning Center policies and procedures.

· Meet the physical and emotional needs of each child and provide a conducive atmosphere that makes children and families feel valued.

· Come to work on time, enthusiastic and prepared.

· Be flexible with work hours and classroom assignments as they may vary to meet the needs of the center.

· Attend all trainings, staff meetings and other professional development initiatives as required.

Our method of teaching uses a hands-on approach given that children learn best and have more fun when engaged in tactile experiences. Children are expected and encouraged to be children, and small adults. The environment at the Center promotes learning but we will have lots of fun in the process. Through a mixture of hands-on experiences, group activities, and individual play, our children will develop the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skills necessary for all aspects of life and development.
