BG Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Make Ready Technician to support a busy, high-volume apartment community in Columbus, OH (43215). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about preparing apartment homes for new residents.

If you have experience in apartment maintenance, unit turns, painting, cleaning, or general handyman work, we want to hear from you!

Position Overview

As a Make Ready Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring vacant apartment homes are move-in ready and meet the community's quality standards. This property experiences a high volume of unit turns, making this role ideal for someone who can work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

A golf cart will be provided to assist with travel throughout the property, helping you stay productive and organized throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete apartment unit turns in preparation for new resident move-ins
• Perform general make-ready tasks including:
  • Painting and touch-ups
  • Drywall repair
  • Basic plumbing repairs
  • Basic electrical work
  • Fixture replacement
  • Appliance cleaning and inspections
• Assist with punch lists and final inspections
• Clean and prepare vacant units to company standards
• Identify and report any maintenance concerns
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Work alongside maintenance teams to meet turnover deadlines

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance or make-ready experience preferred
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of painting, drywall, plumbing, and electrical repairs
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
