What You’ll Do

• Set up and adjust high-speed windowing machines for each production run.
• Load paperboard blanks and window film rolls; align materials to meet job specs.
• Calibrate glue systems and placement guides for accurate application.
• Perform in-process checks to verify registration, adhesion, and film placement.

Production & Quality

• Run at target speeds while maintaining stringent quality standards.
• Inspect for misaligned windows, glue overflow, scratches, and film wrinkles.
• Record counts, downtime, and waste on all required documents.
• Partner with quality and finishing teams to quickly resolve issues.

Maintenance & Safety

• Perform routine preventive maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, and part changes.
• Troubleshoot and correct minor mechanical/electrical issues to sustain uptime.
• Follow lockout/tagout, wear PPE, and maintain excellent housekeeping.

Teamwork & Communication

• Coordinate with feeders, packers, and helpers to maximize efficiency.
• Update supervisors on run status, materials, and machine concerns.
• Assist in training apprentices and new team members as needed.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience operating finishing/packaging machinery—ideally in folding cartons or print/packaging.
• Mechanical aptitude for setups, adjustments, and light maintenance.
• Sharp attention to detail and strong quality focus.
• Ability to read job tickets, work orders, and quality specs.
• Comfort with basic math and measurements.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with windowing equipment.
• Familiarity with adhesives, films, and board substrates used in folding cartons.
• Forklift certification or proven safe material handling experience.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Work in a manufacturing setting with noise, dust, and moving machinery.
• Work overtime and flexible hours as production demands.
