Kable Staffing is hiring a Shipping and receiving in Fairfield, OH. This position is full-time, temp to hire opportunity.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verify and record all incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
• Count, weigh, and measure items to ensure accuracy of shipment contents.
• Determine best shipping methods based on shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Label packages and containers accurately, using shipping labels, stencils, and other identification tools.
• Assemble crates or select appropriate containers for shipping.
• Pack items using fillers, padding, and spacers to protect contents.
• Seal crates and containers with covers and straps using appropriate tools.
• Prepare shipping paperwork, post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage or shortages and coordinate resolutions with shippers.
• Route materials to the appropriate department or storage area.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and materials.
• Operate equipment such as a hand truck or forklift as required.
• May direct others in shipping and receiving duties.
• Perform specialized duties as assigned, such as receiving damaged or returned goods.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read shipping documents and understand shipping procedures.
• Familiarity with handling tools and equipment for packing and moving materials.
• Organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Communication skills.
