Ohio Pediatric RN Job Details Position Type: Travel Contract Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Home Health (in-home care, not facility-based) Location: Akron, Ohio 44302 and surrounding areas (travel to patient homes within a 1-hour radius) Start Date: September 2, 2025 End Date: November 25, 2025 Contract Duration: 12 weeks Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950–$2000 Nursing Shifts: Night shifts; options include 2x12-hour (6:00pm–6:00am), 2x12-hour (7:00pm–7:00am), 2x8-hour (11:00pm–7:00am), 2x8-hour (10:00pm–6:00am), or 5x8-hour (11:00pm–7:00am) shifts per week Hours per Week: 36 Pediatric RN Qualifications Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum 6 months of clinical experience in Home Care, Pediatrics, Medical/Surgical, CCU, Obstetrics, Geriatric Care, or Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) Experience with pediatric patients and/or developmental delays preferred Experience caring for technology-dependent or medically complex patients preferred Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar healthcare software Strong communication skills for patient, family, and interdisciplinary team collaboration Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) EPIC charting experience preferred Pediatric Homecare RN Responsibilities Deliver dedicated pediatric home health care for patients with tracheostomies, ventilators, and complex medical needs Conduct one home visit per shift, working alongside LPNs stationed at the home Travel to patient homes within a 1-hour radius of Akron, Ohio Provide compassionate care to neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients Monitor and manage technology-dependent and medically complex patients in the home setting Accurately document care using electronic charting systems Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes Apply now to join our pediatric homecare nursing team in Akron, Ohio and start your travel nursing healthcare journey!
